Frequently Asked Questions
Auto Re-ignition igniters fire when aircraft power is turned on.
*Replace the Transmission Oil Pressure Switch
Why? The Transmission Oil Pressure Switch provides the ground for the Auto Re-Ignition relay once the engine is up and running. From that point, the only signal the Auto Re-Ignition relay is looking for is the 28vDC out from the EPO box to activate the Auto Re-Ignition System during normal flight. If the Transmission Oil Pressure Switch is not working properly, the Auto Re-Ignition System will fire the igniter due to getting the ground with aircraft power on and no engine running.
